Inverness Car Service
Seven miles east, and a village with almost no commercial frontage — which means nearly every pickup is a residential address on a curvilinear street that does not go through.
Inverness is close to unique among the villages we serve in having essentially no retail strip. There is no main street to meet at. The street plan runs curvilinear and cul-de-sac off Palatine Road, Ela Road and Baldwin Road, which means a driver working from a map alone will take the wrong entry and lose five minutes doubling back on a street that does not connect.
That matters most on the early airport run. At roughly 17 miles Inverness has one of the shortest O'Hare runs in our area, and the flat rate reflects it — but only if the pickup itself is clean.
One thing worth stating plainly because directories get it wrong: Inverness Golf Club is commonly listed with a Palatine address, and sources disagree about which municipality it sits in. We describe it as being on the Inverness–Palatine line, because that is what can actually be verified.

Inverness — Common Questions
Why is Inverness harder to navigate than it looks?
The street plan is curvilinear with a lot of cul-de-sacs and very little commercial frontage to orient from. Entering from the wrong arterial means backtracking. We confirm the approach at booking so it does not happen on the morning of a flight.
What is the flat rate from Inverness to O'Hare?
$139 in an executive sedan, $169 in a luxury SUV, all-inclusive. About 17 miles — one of the shorter airport runs in our area.
Which Metra station should I use?
Palatine or Barrington, both on the UP-NW line. Neither is inside Inverness, and station transfers are a routine booking for us.
Is Inverness Golf Club in Inverness or Palatine?
Sources disagree, and its mailing address is usually given as Palatine. We treat it as being on the Inverness–Palatine line rather than assert a municipality we cannot verify.
Do you offer standing accounts for regular airport runs?
Yes. A recurring weekly or monthly run can be set up as a standing arrangement, with the same chauffeur wherever scheduling allows.
